First Meeting Scheduled...

Plan to be there for the first planning meeting for "National Night Out Against Crime"! The meeting is at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21st at the Parks & Rec Building on Sand Hill Road (next to the trash place). We'd love to have a great showing from people who read and write for this blog - time to see where the rubber hits the road, where the money is where the mouth is, where we walk the walk, not just talk the talk. (Can't think of any more cliches). Angie Mayes has been given approval to start planning this event and we really want to make it one of the best best ever.

At the initial meeting, Angie says we are talking to the organizer from previous years, writing a letter to contact potential vendors about setting up informational exhibits, figure out who has provided food before and who can contact them, and invite various emergency entities. Go read her comment under the original post here to learn more.

I have an incredibly busy day that Saturday, but do plan to attend. Let's not leave Angie hanging on this one and do what we can to help. Heck, think of the benefits: Get to know some of the hardest working people in the city, Get to know some of the people behind this blog and see that we're just a bunch of regular folks (Who are we kidding? We're cool and maybe it will rub off on you - bwaaaa haaaa haaaa!) (obviously a joke because who says "cool" anymore except extreme nerds?), and This would be a great resume builder too!

Meanwhile, don't forget our photo scavenger hunt! People are getting closer.... I'll give a hint. It can change like the weather.
