Today, there are more than 25,000 residents who call La Vergne "home" and it continues to grow. Gobbling the Gobbler

La Vergne senior citizens had their turkey and ate it too during a Thanksgiving dinner Tuesday night at the town's Civic Auditorium. Town officials served the national bird wannabe to more than 100 seniors and their families.

Alderman Dennis Waldron, Vice Mayor Jerry Gann and Senior Center employee Suzanne Curry serve food to Leo Ward.
