La Vergne, Tennessee

La Vergne, Tennessee is one of the fastest growing communities in Tennessee (and probably in the Southeastern United States). A few short years ago, the population was approximately 9,000. Today, there are more than 25,000 residents who call La Vergne "home" and it continues to grow. This blog is dedicated to keeping our community updated on current events, and serves as a guide for restaurants, entertainment, schools, and more. Welcome to La Vergne!

Well Howdy Doody - You're Invited Too!

Our great friends from This is Smyrna TN have invited bloggers to the monthly meeting at Espresso Joe's. Come on down for a few laughs! You can rub Ivy's now-bald head, hear about what bloggers are thinking about nowadays (Christmas shopping, wrinkles, etc.), or just enjoy a nice, hot cup of joe.

COME ON DOWN!

Afterwards, go to the Fall Festival/ Craft Bazaar sponsored by the LHS Marching Band on Saturday, November 18 from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at LaVergne High School. Admission and parking are free. There will be games, prizes, food, a craft sale, drawings for door prizes, baked items for sale, and more.

Oh, and if you don't believe me about Ivy's missing mane, here's proof.

Why would anyone do this? Because Ivy is showing her love and support for a friend of hers who is fighting cancer. She shaved her head on Wednesday, the day Robin began her chemotherapy. And if you want to be shocked at how people react, read Ivy's personal blog here. I'm dismayed at how our fellow human beings PUBLICLY LAUGH at a fantastic gesture of love and caring. They should be ashamed.
