La Vergne, Tennessee

La Vergne, Tennessee is one of the fastest growing communities in Tennessee (and probably in the Southeastern United States). A few short years ago, the population was approximately 9,000. Today, there are more than 25,000 residents who call La Vergne "home" and it continues to grow. This blog is dedicated to keeping our community updated on current events, and serves as a guide for restaurants, entertainment, schools, and more. Welcome to La Vergne!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher appreciation week is fast approaching. Teachers are some of the hardest working, most under-appreciated people I know. They truly are on the front-lines of how our country will be in 25, 50, 100 years. The minds they influence can and will become our future.

I am planning on donating some pens and paper pads for teacher appreciation week. Is there anyone else out there who can contribute? For example, if you work at a restaurant or know someone who does, can you give a $10 - $25 gift certificate for a lunch or dinner? Do you work at a car wash? How about a free car wash? Work at a movie warehouse? How about some free DVD's? Whatever you can do, we'd really appreciate it. Just post here what you can do and I'll post back how to make it happen!
