La Vergne, Tennessee

La Vergne, Tennessee is one of the fastest growing communities in Tennessee (and probably in the Southeastern United States). A few short years ago, the population was approximately 9,000. Today, there are more than 25,000 residents who call La Vergne "home" and it continues to grow. This blog is dedicated to keeping our community updated on current events, and serves as a guide for restaurants, entertainment, schools, and more. Welcome to La Vergne!

Swimming Pool Anyone?

Although it IS only 13 degrees outside right now, I have a burning question. The population of LaVergne is what - 25,000? Aren't we big enough to have a community swimming pool for those hot summer months? I want to see one complete with water slide, diving board, and maybe some sprinkler play areas. I'll bet whoever runs for office with that as part of their election platform would have a good chance of winning!

I have the PERFECT place where the new LaVergne Community Pool could be built - build it on Hollandale and Fergus. You know the place. It's where a certain developer is trying to build 800 more homes so our streets can enjoy more traffic, our schools can be more crowded, and our green space disappears in favor of ugly homes sitting on top of each other. You can be a hero to this town, Mr. Developer! Give a little back! Give us our community pool, Mayor Green. Give us our community pool, Mr. Erwin, Mr. Gann, Ms. Mosely, and Mr. Waldron. Oh, and while you're at it, let's name the pool "LaVergne Lake".....
