La Vergne, Tennessee

La Vergne, Tennessee is one of the fastest growing communities in Tennessee (and probably in the Southeastern United States). A few short years ago, the population was approximately 9,000. Today, there are more than 25,000 residents who call La Vergne "home" and it continues to grow. This blog is dedicated to keeping our community updated on current events, and serves as a guide for restaurants, entertainment, schools, and more. Welcome to La Vergne!

In Memory

UPDATE: It is with a heavy heart that we confirm Mr. Salisbury's passing. An anonymous commenter posted the article in today's Daily News Journal below, which is also linked here. Our deepest condolences to Mr. Salisbury's family and friends. You will be missed. Rest in peace.

An anonymous commenter posted this morning that Alderman-candidate Doug Salisbury passed away suddenly last night. I can't verify this, but if it's true please remember him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Here's a link to his letter he sent this LaVergne blog when he was running for election. In the letter is also a link to the web site he maintained regarding LaVergne.

Doug was not elected to the position of Alderman, but his work through the campaign and on his web page showed he loved this community from the bottom of his heart. If the comment is true, please rest in peace, Mr. Salisbury.
