Election Results

Here are the election results for Rutherford County from the Tennessean. Some highlights...

Doug Shafer retained his seat as County Commissioner 282 to 243. Definitely a case of every vote counting. Phil Bredeson handily defeated his opponents to run as the democratic candidate for governor. He will face republican Jim Bryson in the general election.

It looks like Bob Corker will face off against John Ford for U.S. Senate. That race should be a doozy and one I'm not looking forward to watching.

Many thanks to everyone who voted. Those of us who did vote need to help rally more voters for the general election... it's kind of shocking to me that not even 600 people voted for the county commissioner.
